Roger Maines was just 10 years old when George Oliver, truly one of the great horseman in history, bought and molded a beautiful piece of property into Chester Bar Farm - the ultimate "haven for the horse".

Under George Oliver's tutelage, Roger learned how to ride, train and care for horses.

Roger has lived on the farm all of his life, now with his wife, Mary, and their two daughters, Beth and Robin. Their house overlooks the pastures of happy horses.

He begins his day with an early morning check and ends the day with a late night check.

He is one of the key elements that makes Chester Bar so special. Roger is, without doubt, the kindest man with a horse anyone could ever imagine.

We are all lucky to have Roger Maines caring for our beloved friends.
